Your first step toward discovering why freediving is becoming a popular way to explore beneath the waves. No previous freediving course is required.
Freediving is about inward power, discipline and control. If you’ve always wanted to enter the underwater world quietly, on your own terms, staying as long as your breath allows, then freediving is for you.
Program Structure
The PADI Freediver course consists of three main phases:
- Knowledge development about freediving principles through independent study with the PADI Freediver Touch
- Confined water session to learn breath hold techniques as well as static and dynamic apnoea. Goal - static apnoea of 90 seconds and dynamic apnoea of 25 meters.
- Open water sessions to practice free immersion and constant weight freedives, plus proper buddy procedures. Goal - constant weight freedive of 10 meters.
The theory study is done on-line, through E-learning and it must be completed prior the start of the practical sessions. The practical part of the course is done over two days, usually on one weekend.
Saturday morning you will spend at Frog Dive, where you will go over the theory review, breathing techniques.
After lunch we will head down to a local heated pool for some in water training.
On Sunday you will be hitting the open water, location is weather dependent, and it will be advised by the instructor at the start of the course.

Mask, snorkel & wetsuit are available for hire for no extra fee, but it is scuba gear and you may find it harder to meet the performance requirements in hire gear as it is not a specific freediving equipment.
